Logo to SVG for Cricut

A logo needs crisp, symmetrical edges more than any other graphic. The Single-color logo preset smooths curves aggressively, welds touching letters, and keeps counters (the holes in A, O, R) intact. Cricut Design Space imports SVG layers as separate colors you can attach, weld and cut on vinyl, HTV, cardstock or Infusible Ink.

Ring logos with a bar through the middle are classic weld tests: the bar and ring fuse into one cut, with the two inner openings kept as holes. The weld test passes when the “Cut lines” view shows one outer outline and two inner openings. If you see a third outline across the bar, turn Weld on.

How to convert Logo to SVG for Cricut

  1. Open CutVector and drop your Logo file (or several at once). Use the largest version of the logo you have; a 2000 px PNG export beats a 200 px favicon every time.
  2. Pick the Cricut cut preset — clean layered shapes for vinyl & htv.
  3. Switch to the Cut lines view and check every outline is where you expect. Adjust Smoothing, Ignore specks or Min hole area if needed.
  4. Set Output width to the finished size, then download the SVG.
  5. In Design Space choose Upload → Upload Image → browse to the SVG. Each color arrives as its own layer; click “Add to Canvas” and resize if needed.

FAQ

How do I cut my small-business logo on vinyl for my van?

Convert it with the Single-color logo preset at the real width (e.g. 600 mm), then cut it in panels if it exceeds your mat size.

How big can I cut a logo on a Cricut Maker?

Single cuts up to about 11.5 × 23.5 in (on a 12 × 24 mat). Larger decals need to be split into panels in Design Space.

Why are my letters cutting as separate pieces on Cricut?

Script letters that touch must be welded. Turn on Weld in CutVector before exporting, or select the layer in Design Space and click Weld.

What size will the SVG be in Design Space?

Design Space reads the millimeter size written in the file, so it imports at the Output width you chose. You can still resize on the canvas.

Will the holes inside letters be kept?

Yes. Counters in letters like A, B, O and R stay as holes. Only holes smaller than “Min hole area” are removed — lower it if a tiny counter disappears.

Can I use the SVG for my business signage?

Yes, if you own the logo or have permission. Do not convert logos belonging to other brands — see our Terms.
